My name is Artur Mandas and I am an artist and developer. For over 20 years I have been working for different studios, and my clients include Purple, Sony, 3Net, Polsat, Finlandia, Mercedes, Play, Procter & Gamble, Gillette, Era GSM, Coca-Cola, Samsung, SAP, Microsoft, Rabobank, UA, Honeywell. I have experience in CGI projects and teams management.
I graduated from Warsaw School of Economics, where I obtained Master of Arts in Economics title at the faculty of Quantitative Methods and Information Systems. My second thesis was at the faculty of Finance and Banking, at the same university. My master thesis on IT projects risk analysis won the first prize in a national contest organized by Naukowe Towarzystwo Informatyki Ekonomicznej.
I started my professional career as a programmer and Business Intellligence consultant, only to switch a few years later to my love – computer graphics and game development, starting with freelance and, later on, work for Samsung R&D Center (titles Futuracer, Ancient Adventurers and The Viking’s Run). My responsibilities in these projects included modeling & texturing of environment assets, level design, trailer creation (3DS Max, Photoshop, Zbrush, After Effects), programming of game logic (C#/Unity 3D).
I am the author of several technical papers on information technology and economic issues. I used to write literary pieces – I won a honorable mention award in a contest of SuperNOWA publishing house regarding the sequel of Janusz A. Zajdel novel.
I also collaborated on a short movie „The Game” (directed by Marcin Janiec) that won Polish Oscar qualification and numerous international awards. During this production I was responsible for modeling, lighting, animation, visual effects and rendering.
With time, I continued solo game dev career, also pursuing Technical Artist & Full Stack Unity Developer offering a complete product service (design to deployment) for corporate clients, specializing in a broad range of (mainly) Unity applications for the fields like: AR/VR/ML/VP – desktop, mobile and custom installations (mostly Kinects).
Currently 80% of my time is devoted to programming activities, the rest goes to the design part.
I have created several prioprietary games, including OS Omega (PC & Switch soon), True Bliss, Gem Box.
